You have to disable the de compression detent on the cam. To do this take off the valve cover and use a bread tie or zip tye to hold the weight up on the exaust cam. That will pull up the de compression detent and allow you to do a compression test normally.

And there not alot for power commanders because it not really the best for the yfz most tuners that tune for yfz make vortex tunes. Pc5 will get you by for average rider but when you want perfection and reliablty you get a vortex. I know with pc5 people have an issue where the ecu doesn't really respond at low rpms almost like it's unplugged . Compression test is helpful but if you turn the motor over at the flywheel you can feel if there is compression or not, if it's super easy to turn over then maybe its your piston. I would double check the carb work was done correctly as you may not be getting enough fuel.
